A few weeks ago Tanner had a week off of school so we decide to take a trip to Nauvoo. Its only about 7 hrs away so we thought this would be a great opportunity to visit one of the most memorial church history sites. We also had a chance to stop at carthage jail. Since i have been learning more about church history this trip really meant a lot to me. some of my favorite stops where carthage jail, the mansion house, the homestead, Joseph Smiths and family grave site, parley street walk to the mississippi river, the red brick store and of course the Nauvoo Temple. When i first saw the temple i was completely blown away not only by the size but also the sheer beauty. The detail was amazing! i know it has been rebuilt since the saints, but i could not believe how much work must have went into it back in the 1800's. especially when you saw the simplicity of their houses. One of our favorite houses to visit was Brigham Young's. The teachings, obedience and example of Brigham Young has always been a favorite of Taner's. The more i learn about president Youngs the more i admire and look up to him as well. We are so grateful for the opportunity we had to visit Nauvoo and all that we learned. It was wonderful way to strengthen our testimony of how much the lord loves his children.

It was such a great trip and we can't wait to return one day!
This is blake's crazy face! He makes it whenever he is being funny. He scrunches his nose, goofy smile and lifts his chin. Then laughs, especially when he is running around crazy. So we call it his crazy face! He even does it when i ask! ill say blake do your crazy face and he will! He knows he is being funny and that makes it even better!
